Rose (1908) LOUIS K. FISCHER, of Dewald township, owns and farms the southwest quarter of section 27. He was born in Germany April 13, 1874, the son of George and Paulina (Keiser) Fischer. The family came to America in 1883 and located in Washington county, Wis., lived there three years, and then, in the spring of 1887, came to Nobles county. The father bought the southeast quarter of section 27, Dewald township, and on that farm our subject resided until after his father's death, which occurred in 1901. He moved onto his present farm in 1902, having bought the place two years before. With the exception of the year 1903, which he spent in Worthington conducting a blacksmith and machine shop in partnership with his brother, Henry, he has resided on the farm ever since. Mr. Fischer was married in Worthington in August, 1902, to Freida Kampff, who was born in Germany and came to the United States in 1900.
