Okenfuss dated May 8, 2000.) CASPER HENDEL (1881-1946) Casper Hendel, son of Phillip and Catherine, was born 4 June 1881 in Caledonia, Minnesota. He moved with his family to Alton, Iowa, then to Adrian, Minnesota and then to Lismore. He left Lismore in April 1906 to homestead four miles north of the present site of Donalda, Alberta, Canada. He lived there for a year and then returned to Lismore to n1a1TY Elisabeth B. Homan 0119 April 1907. She was born on 15 May 1885 in Wellington, South Dakota. Elisabeth joined him il1 Donalda where their first two children, Angelyne and Marie were born. After several years there in 1911 they moved to Rosalind, Alberta, Canada, where they had five more children. A n get y n e ( 1908-1999) married Norman McMillan (1899-1975) and had fo1.1fchildren; Marie (1910-1999) married Charles Rendleman (1910-1994) and had one child; Beatrice(1914-1989)married Herbert Reinhardt(1913-1973)and had one child; Raphael (1917-1973) married Joan Proctor (1920) and had two children; Robinette (1921-1925); Patricia, (1925) married Elroy Brosz (1921-1999) and has ten children; and Adrian (1928-1930). Casper died near Airdrie, Alberta, on 23 September 1946 of a heart attack while on a train while he was returning from a trip to Calgary. He was originally buried in Rosalind but after Elisabeth moved to Camrose, she had his remains and those of the two children moved there. Elisabeth died on 22 February 1963. She is also buried in Camrose, Alberta, Canada. They had eighteen grandchildren, 29 great- grandchildren, and 3 great-great- grandchildren.
