However, land was purchased closer to Lismore and the cemetery remained unused for almost 100 years. The first burial took place in 1893. From 1896 till 1994 there were no burials. The St. Anthony West cemetery records were compiled by Librarian Meredith Vaselaar and are used here with permission.
