Worthington merchants carry up-to-date stocks of the numerous kinds of merchandise needed for farming and in home-making. An essential institution to all private business, the county court house is located in Worthington. Here is the headquarters for social security, rural education, farm home programs, as well as the county's business. The competition and demand for foods, drugs, clothing, furniture, automobiles, machinery and other necessities, are so keen in this city that large crowds of shoppers have found it unwise and unprofitable to look elsewhere for their requirements. Here they find sales appeals and bargains equal to any in a metropolis. In other words, in Worthington they "have for you what you would have." Unusual religious opportunities are offered by the churches of this city, most of the leading denominations being represented. Worthington has an excellent school system and the Worthington. Junior College located here offers a two-year course in business and agriculture. Practically all the leading fraternal orders are represented in the city.
