This obit is from the 8/17/1990 paper. They happen to be on the same page as me deceased ancestor. "Andrew F Pfeiffer, 83, Windom, died Wednesday, August 15, 1990, at a Madison nursing home. Born Feb. 11, 1907, in Red Oak, IA, he was the son of John and Bertha Pfeiffer. He married Martha Slinger Feb. 5, 1940, in Woodstock. She died August 6, 1982. He moved to Minnestoa in 1939 and after his marriage, they farmed in Dale Township, Cottonwood County, their entire married life. He was well known asa potato farmer. He was a member of St. Augustine Church, Jeffers, and belongs to the Dale Farmers Coop. Surviving are three sons, Lloyd Pfeiffer and Gene Pfeiffer, both of Windom, and John Pfeiffer, Worthington; two daughters, Mrs. Marilyn (Mervle) Henke, Owatonna, and Mrs. Susan (Stan) Ware, Westbrook; two brothers, Ted Pfeiffer, Red Oak, IA, and Joh Pfeiffer, Clarinda, IA; two sisters, Katherine Ruth, and Mrs. Regina (Tom) Moore, West Branch, IA; and 12 grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 pm today with a prayer service at 7 pm and from 9 am to noon Saturday at the Anderson-Schmidt Funeral Home, Windom. The mass will be 1 pm Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Windom, with the Rev. John Tighe officiating. Burial will be in the Jeffers Cemetery."
