Globe Lucille Reimersma, Mankato Lucille Riemersma, 84, of Mankato, formerly of Worthington, died Monday Aug. 24, 1992, at Mankato House Health Care Center, Mankato. She was born Jan. 22, 1908, in southern Iowa. She married John Riemersma Feb. 13, 1927. He died in 1976. At the age of 4 she was adopted by Cornelius and Nellie Gelder. When she was 6 the family moved to Hancock, where she attended school through the seventh grade. After marriage they farmed in the Worthington area. She was a homemaker and was employed with Worthington Produce Co. She was active in the Christian Reformed Church, Willing Workers and ladies aid. She played paio and organ for the church. She was a member of Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Surviving are two sons, William Riemersma, Albuquerque, N.M., and Clarence Reimersma, Mazeppa; one daughter, Mrs. LuEtta (Alfred) Young, Mankato; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Benson Funeral Home, Worthington. The service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Christian Reformed Church, Worthington, with the Rev. Rod Gorter officiating. Burial will be in Worthing Cemetery.
