Family research as of 2/1/2012
Angeline Auringer was born Janaury 29, 1829 at Onondaga, New York to Peter 
Isaac Auringer and Susannah Vroman, the first of 10 children. 

Angeline married Russell (Russel) R. Chapman on June 24, 1846 at Onondaga, NY. 
Russell had been married before and had four living children (William Riley, 
Mary J, Jane Eliza and Charles) when he and Angeline married. (He also had a 
daughter Angeline Naomi (1831-1833) not living when he remarried.) 

Angeline and Russell had 4 children: 
Ruth Ann (born 1847/48 NY, died 1905 MN); 

Nancy Marie (born 1852 NY, died 1929 MN); 

Susan (born 1859 NY); and 

Edgar Willis (born 1866 NY, died 1919 MN).

Family found in the 1850 census living at Onondaga, Onondaga, NY: Russell 
Chapman 40, Angeline Chapman 20, William Chapman 16, Mary J Chapman 14, Jane E 
Chapman 10, Charles Chapman 4, Ruth Chapman 3. 

Found in the 1860 census at Victory, Cayuga, NY: Russel Chapman 44, Angeline 
Chapman 31, Mary Chapman 23, Ruth Chapman 12, Nancy Chapman 7, Susan Chapman 1. 

The family moved west to Marshall County, Iowa. 
Found in the 1870 census living at Liscomb, Marshall, IA: Russel Chapman 60, 
Angeline Chapman 40, Nancy Chapman 18, Juina (should be Susan) Chapman 11, 
Edgar Chapman 4, Isaac Aurunrger 63, James Aurunrger 19, Elizabeth Trepp 
(should be Tripp) 35. 

Family next moved to Minnesota. 
Found in the 1880 census living at Maine, Ottertail, MN: Edgar Marshall 35, 
Ruth Marshall 32 (Angeline and Russell's daughter), Warnes Marshall 14, George 
Marshall 12, William Marshall 7, Adelina Marshall 4, Myrtle Marshall 8m, Russel 
Chapman 72, Angeline Chapman 50, Edgar Chapman 14, Martin Stahl 38. 

Angeline Auringer Chapman died on November 29, 1884 at Fergus Falls, Otter 
Tail, MN and was buried at Mount Faith Cemetery, Fergus Falls, MN. 

Additional Comments:
Censuses transcribed as found, obvious spelling errors not corrected. Census 
dates do not always coincide from one to the next. Found a Janice Chapman (no 
dates) who may also be a daughter of Angeline's, not sure)
