(The typo's are in the original obit) OBITUARY FREIDA HEUER GRANT Freida Christina Heuer was born in Germany February 19,1883; and passed away Thursday, March 29,1973 at New York Mills at the age of 90 years, 1 month and 10 days. She came to the United States with her family in 1887. They settled in Renville, Minnesota where they lived until 1900, when they moved to Paddock Twp., Ottertail County, MN. She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian Faith at an early age and lived that faith to the end. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church of Sebeka. On October 29,1901, she married Elmer Grant of Paddock Twp., where they lived most of their married life. After her husband passed away, she moved to Sebeka where she lived until the last five years, which she spent at the Elder's Home in New York Mills. Nine children were born to bless this union. Her husband, one daughter and two sons preceded her in death. Left to mourn her death are two sons, Wayne Grant of Sebeka and Stanley Grant of Coon Rapids; four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Grace) Fullerton of Menahga, Mrs. Herman (Pearl) Zimmerman of Parkers Prairie, Mrs. Carl (Violet) Johnson of Blaine, Minnesota and Mrs. Bob (Elsie) Robinson of Fairbanks, Alaska; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Gertrude Brown of Langdon, North Dakota; Nine nephews and Three nieces. Funeral services were held Monday, April 2,1973 at 1:30 P.M. at the Faith Lutheran Church, Sebeka, Minnesota, with Rev. Glenn Savage officiating. Hymns were sung by Mrs. Quentin Dieter accompanied by Mrs. Russell Nelson on the organ. The pallbearers were her grandsons, Kenneth Grant, Blaine Edmundson, David Grant, Roy Hemphill, Glenn Hemphill and Henry Roiko. Interment was at the Hillview Cemetery, Paddock Twp., Minnesota. Relatives and friends attending the funeral from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fullerton of Menahga, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Grant and family of Sebeka, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Zimmerman of Parkers Prairie, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Johnson of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Grant and daughter of Coon Rapids, Mrs. Velma Grant and famids, Mrs. Anna Mae Larson of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Roiko and family of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Hemphill and family of Stillwater, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hemphill and family of Anoka, Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Edmundson and family of Coon Rapids and Mr. Gary Schenemann of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Weston of Hannah, Mr. Kenneth Grant and family of Hazen, Mr. Fred Hewer of Noonen, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Brown of Munich, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Brown of Hannah, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Brown of Hannah and Mrs. Phobie Meyers of Cavalier, North Dakota, and Mrs. Velma Grant and family of Humbolt, South Dakota ______________ Submitter's Note: (Elmer & Freida Grant were my Grandparents.
