FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Don Hansen Submitted: June 2006 ========================================================================= IRVING SETHER OBIT, #819T Fergus Falls Journal Tuesday, 12/7/1976 Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church for Irving Sether, 71, Rothsay, who died unexpectedly at his Oscar Township farm home on Monday. The Rev. James McBride will officiate and interment will be in South Friberg Cemetery, rural Carlisle. Born Feb. 18, 1905, in Oscar Township, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Sether. He was baptised at South Friberg Church and confirmed at North Friberg Church. On Nov. 30, 1939, he married Evelyn Butenhoff at Trinity Church in Sabin. He farmed in the Carlisle-Rothsay community all his life. He was active on the local school board and Farm Bureau board, was a member of the Carlisle Band, and of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls. Surviving are his wife; one son, John, LeMars, Iowa; one daughter, Mrs. Dwayne (Mary) Yahnke, Litchfield; three grandchildren and one brother, Sidney, Carlisle.
