Services were Tuesday, Aug. 29, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Perham, with the Rev. Ron Dockendorf officiating. Burial was in Holy Cross Catholic Church Cemetery in Butler. Mr. Van Erp was born Aug. 6, 1902, at Hultin, Germany, the son of Peter and Katherine (Steinkuhl) Van Erp. He came to the United States in 1916, and he farmed at Butler. He and Marie Boogaard were married June 6, 1933, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Butler. He moved to Perham after his retirement 16 years ago. He was a member of Catholic Aid. He is survived by his wife, Marie; two daughters, Mrs. Albert (Catherine) Lachowitzer and Mrs. Francis (Mary Ann) Seifert, both of Perham; a son, Peter of Bluffton; 13 grandchildren; and two sisters, Gertrude Minten of Perham and Marie Polman of Chisholm.
