Mann, Editor & Publisher, Thursday, November 30, 1933: First Home Game The first game of the season on the home floor for the Hinckley High School boys and girls basketball teams will be played at the gymnasium on Friday evening against the strong Brook Park Cagers. Coach Olson has a strong aggregation that will make the Brook Park boys work: [IT:Donald Currie:IT], center; Glen Jones and Edwin Neutzman, Forwards; Vin Abrahamson and Andrew Saloka, guards. The freshman boys defeated the Askov freshmen 19-7. The squad shows good material and the boys handled themselves in veteran style. The freshman team is composed of George Fara, center; Eugene Bassett and [IT:Kenneth Currie:IT] forwards; Frank Collins, Harold Karnowshi and Kenneth Kaltenhouser, guards. Twenty-one Students on the Honor Roll The freshmen head the honor roll with seven for the past six weeks' period. Twenty-one students in all gained the roll: Seniors--Ernest Bultman, Eileen Coyne, [IT:Donald Currie, :IT] Ethel Gruett and Harold Ravnholdt. Juniors--Carlton Berg, Verna Kelsey, Florence Van der Duin and Marjorie Zimbrick. Sophomores--Quinten Abrahamson, Margaret Brennan, Harriet Heuer, Janet Hoffman and Ruth Lyseth. Freshmen--Lola Archambeau, Louise Cook[IT:, Kenneth Currie, Dora Dahl, Frank McLaughlin, Helen Musser and Robert Whyte."
