Schumacher Last rites for William Otto Schumacher of Pine City will be held on Thursday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m., from the Swanson funeral chapel with Rev. I.O. Thompson officiating. Music will be provided by Mrs. Leonard Henrickson. Pallbearers are Grandsons David Lloyd and William Schumacher, Donald Schwarz, Robert Kubesh and Larry Soderbeck. Burial will be in Birchwood cemetery. William Schumacher was born on July 13, 1879 in Minnesota Lake to Albert and Louisa (Dornfeilt) Schumacher. He came to Pine City 48 years ago. He was united to Martha Fritsche on October 18th 1900 in Waseca, and to this union 15 children were born. Mr. Schumacher a retired Farmer passed away on February 7th, at the William Schwarz farm after an illness of several years. He was 85 years of age. He is preceded in death by his wife and one daughter. Survivors include eight daughters, Lillian, Mrs. William Schwarz, Pine City; Linda, Mrs. John Kubitza, Harve Mont.; Hilda, Mrs. Stanley Johnson, Minneapolis; Amanda, Mrs. Clarence Fritsche, Brunswick; Evelyn Klande, St. Paul; Hattie, Mrs. Arthur Kjos, St. Cloud; Elizabeth, Mrs. Carl Kubesh, Beroun; Adeline, Mrs. Robert Soderbeck, Pine City; seven sons, Helmer, New Richland; Edwin, Cumberland Wis.; Alvin, New Brighton; Benjamin, Hinkley; George, Tracy; Gilbert, Morristown Pa.; Ed Cressman, Morristown Pa.; two sisters Mrs. Anna Salle, St. Paul; Mrs. Alma Salle, St. Paul; one brother Ed Schumacher, Hill City; 58 grandchildren and 39 great- grandchildren.
