Funeral services were Tuesday, Sept. 20 at the Peace United Methodist Church with Rev. Ronald Hume Officiating. Music was provide by Nancy Stratman, organist, Clarence Stavenger and Mary Zeinstra, vocalists. Pallbearers were David Stavenger, Harlan Zeinstra, Tom Stavenger, Jim Stavenger, David Huebner, Greg Teunissen. Interment was in the Hillside Cemetery, Edgerton. Mrs. Jones was born to Edwin and Ellen (Forbes) Fuller on July 27, 1895, in Edgerton where she was raised. As a young girl, she attended rural school. She graduated from Edgerton High School. On Sept. 7, 1915 she was united in marriage to Howard G. Jones in Edgerton. Following their marriage, they farmed in Pipestone County for several years. In 1929 they moved into Pipestone where Howard was a New York Life insurance agent for over 40 years. He preceded her in death in July of 1971. Following his death, she continued to reside at her home until she became a resident of the Good Samaritan Village in March of 1984. She was a member of Peace United Methodist Church, Pipestone where she had a lifetime membership in the UMW. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Republic and Rebekah Lodge of Pipestone. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lavonne (Clarence) Stavenger, Pipestone and a son Judge Rolland Jones, Brookings, S.D.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one infant son and one infant daughter, a sister and brother. ************************************************************************ Copyright.
