This obituary is found in the Hutchinson Leader 03 March 1921

 MILITARY FUNERAL 

AT WOODSTOCK

     A military funeral was held Saturday afternoon at Woodstock for the 

late Emil Henry Krayenhagen, a soldier of the recent war, who died of 

influenza at Allerway, El Norrie, France, October 7th, 1918

     Deceased was born Sept. 18th 1890, at Clinton, Iowa, and was for a 

number of years a resident of Pipestone county. He entered the service of 

his country at Morris, Minnesota on July 26th, 1918, and was trained at Camp 

Wadsworth, S.C.. He is survived by his parents, four brothers, and one 

sister.

     The Woodstock Post of American Legion and Albert Michael Post of 

Pipestone took charge of the remains and burial was with full military 

honors, Rev. Norman McLeod of Edgerton preached the funeral sermon.

     The firing squad fired three volleys over the grave and taps were 

sounded by W.H. Rohweder. Others present from Pipestone were Harry Keeler, 

color bearer; Michael Piszek and Edwin Moore, color gaurds; Cyril Authier, 

Martin Staudenmaier, Claud MacLean, Albert Howard, Elmer Alexander, and 

Walter Alexander.
