Raph, 58, died of natural causes September 19, 1992, in Dillon, Montana. Funeral services were held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 1992, at Brundage Funeral Home in Dillon. His body was cremated and his ashes were scattered in the mountains near Argenta, Montana. Eldo Arthur Raph was born on February 25, 1934, Holland, Pipestone County Minnesota, to Merlye Henry and Elsie Emma Augusta (Schierholz) Raph. He attended and graduated from Pipestone High School, Pipestone, Minnesota in 1952. He then attended Great Northern Railroad Telegraphy School and was assigned to Essex, Montana. Mr. Raph was united in marriage to Virginia Ann Tanner on March 2, 1955, in Conrad, Montana and he was transferred to Shelby, Montana and become a bookkeeper. They later divorced in 1970. Mr. Raph was united in marriage to Doris Ellen (Kelly) Tanner, on September 25, 1970. In 1971 he purchased a hardware store in Dillon, Montana which he retired from in 1990. Mr. Raph was active in Elks Lodge, Jaycees, Youth Baseball League and other civic organizations. He is survived by his widow, Doris Raph of Dillon; a sister, Mrs. Carol (Harvey) Zeinstra of Pipestone, Minnesota; a daughter, Mrs. Elda Lynn (Steven) Nichols of Shelby; two sons Merle James Raph of Shelby, and Darvin Dale Raph of Loveland, Colorado; four stepsons, Craig Tanner of Phoenix, Arizona, Brent Tanner of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, David Tanner of Darby, and John Tanner of Elko, Nevada; and thirteen grandchildren. ************************************************************************ Copyright.
