E. Hannah had their infant son baptized at the Manse, Wednesday December 17th, under the name Douglas Rae. All the parents and a few others attended the excellent school program given by the Davidson school under the able management of the teacher, Miss Ethel Lanman. The most pleasing feature of the entertainment was the exercises performed by the pupils to the music of the victrola. The unusual Christmas tree and gifts were also and evidence. Miss Helen Boylan arrived home Friday night from Mount St. Benedict, Crookston to spend the Christmas holidays with the home folks. Miss Ethel Lanman left for her home in McIntosh Friday evening to spend the Christmas vacation. Miss Grace McDonald was an overnight visitor in Grand Forks Friday doing Christmas shopping. Allan McDonald who is attending Fisher high school is spending his Christmas vacation at his home here. Lawrence Lee who is attending East Grand Forks high school is home for the Christmas holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Howard White and two little boys of Towner, N. D. arrived in time for the Christmas tree in Bethel Church. They will be guests at the R. E. White home for the Christmas holidays and expect to stop off in Grafton for a visit with friends on their return home. Miss Annabel Geddes, who teaches in Stephen, arrived home Saturday to spend her Christmas vacation with the home folks. Miss Marion McDonald teaches in Verndale, Minn., arrived home Saturday to spend her Christmas vacation at home. Word was received by friends here of the death of Herbert Hannah, in an automobile accident, on Sunday, December 14th, somewhere in the Cumberland Mountains where he was sent out as a missionary by the Presbyterian board. His body was shipped for interment Minneapolis were his parents Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Hannah and younger brothers and sisters reside. He leaves to mourn his loss, a wife and young babe, his parents, five brothers and three sisters. The heartfelt sympathy of this community is extended to the bereaved ones Overnight visitors in Grand Forks Tuesday were Miss Marion McDonald, Lewis McDonald, Miss Grace McDonald and Mrs. P.M. Boylan and daughter Helen. Mrs. Albert Morrow and daughter, Ariel will spend Christmas with her mother, Mrs. Morrison and brothers in their home near Key West. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Hanna will have (cut)
