William Hannah, 82, resident of Polk county and Crookston for many years prior to 1915, and of Crookston again since last fall, died at 6:30 pm. Thursday at a local hospital where he had been a patient for 12 days. Mr. Hannah was among the earliest pioneers in the county, arriving here in 1878 and settling at Fisher's Landing. He was a resident of Crookston from 1898 until 1915, the last fall returned here to make his own with his niece, Mrs. W.C. Eisert, 708 Holly Ave. Born in Ontario. Born in Palmerston township, county of Frontenac, Ontario, September 12, 1852, Mr. Hannah homesteaded in Nisbet township on his arrival in Polk County. He was married at Fisher in 1881 the Isabella Brownlee who died about two and one-half years after their marriage. Mr. Hannah resided on his farm until 1898 and then move to Crookston. In 1915 he went to Davidson, Minn., where resided until last fall. He is survived by his sister, Ellen Hannah of Crookston; four brothers, James Hannah of Creighton Mine, Ont., H. B. Hannah of East Grand Forks, and A. E. Hannah of Bemidji. Funeral Set Sunday Funeral services will be conducted at the Eisert home on Holly avenue at two p. m. Sunday with the Rev. F. J Hibbard officiating and at the Bethel Presbyterian Church at Mallory at three p.m. with the Rev. Daniel J. Kerr of East Grand Forks in charge. Pallbearers will be Robert Belfour, Ed Allard, Roland Nelson, Ray Nelson, Alfred Hannah and Clarence Hannah. The body will lie in state at the Stenshoel's funeral home from two to (Cut)
