Obituary from Oklee Herald Bergie Rose LaBonte 1881-1974 Mass of the Christian Burial was conducted on Monday the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception for Mrs. Francis (Bergie) LaBonte, 92, who died Friday at a local nursing home. The Rev. Donald Archer was celebrant for the mass. Mrs. LaBonte was born in Paincourt, Ontario, Canada on Aug. 31, 1881 and came to the Red Lake Falls area with her parents as a child. She married Noah Wolfe in 1889. He died in 1937. She married Francis LaBonte at Red Lake Falls, May 3, 1941 and they moved to Crookston, where they made their home. She was a member of St. Anne's Church and the Sodality. Her husband died in 1965. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Alex (Delia) Marleau of Grand Forks; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Leo (Ceil) Corno of Marbel, Minn.; four step daughters, Mrs. Wilber (Edna) Knudsen of Minneapolis, Mrs. Med (Marie) LaChance of Virginia, Minn., Mrs. Allison (Nora) Foster of San Jose, Calif., and Mrs. George (Agnes) Thibert of Red Lake Falls; three grandchildren, four great grand-children and four great great grandchildren. Casketbearers were Rene Regeimbal, Louis Normandin, Victor Amiot, Godfrey Keller, Lester Audette, Louis Audette and Noah Brault.
