FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Joy Paulson Submitted: October 2006 ========================================================================= Death of William Larson, at 4 P.M., Thanksgiving Day Gully Advance, 11/29/1918, p1 Died in his home in this village on Thursday afternoon, November 28, 1918, Wm Larson, aged about 37 years, the direct cause of death being pneumonia. While Mr. Larson has not been a sound and strong man for some time, owing to asthma troubles, and some few months ago was injured in the side and ribs by meeting with an accident at work on the dragline, nevertheless his sudden death came as a surprise which brought the bitter cup of sorrow to the lips of friends and relatives. His illness was only of short duration, about one week, and he will be missed by those who knew him best. He was a man of excellent habits, fine moral character, a true husband and father, and a worthy son of an honorable father and mother. The funeral services which were private, were conducted by M. W. A. lodge, of which the deceased was an honorable member, this afternoon, Rev. Stensgaard officiating, and the remains laid to rest in the Gully cemetery, beside those of a sister, Miss Julia Larson, who died little over three years ago. Deceased leaves to mourn his untimely death, six children, two boys and four girls, two brothers, Ben and Edwin, one sister, Mrs. Delbert Green of Gonvick, his wife, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sivert Larson, of Trail, this township. ========================================================================= Copyright Joy Paulson 2006.
