Mrs. Morrissette was feeling well at supper time and was suddenly taken with a fainting spell from which she never recovered. The deceased was born in Canada in 1850 and a few years later moved to Massachusetts with her parents. It was in Massachusetts that she met and married Isaac Morrissette. They moved to the homestead, on which she lived at (sic until) her death in 1882, and has made her home there ever since. There were five sons and a daughter born to them, the daughter died before they left the east and the five sons survive, Joseph, Peter, Wilfred, and Alcid all of Plummer and Lamay (spelled that way in the newspaper) of Cass Lake, also a brother, Louis Creg, of Lion (sic Lyon) Mountain, New York. Her husband died at Plummer in 1889 since which time she has been farming the home place with her son, Peter. The deceased was the oldest resident in this neighborhood and one of the oldest in Red Lake county. She was a woman who was loved by all who knew her, a tenderhearted and loving mother and a kind neighbor. She was an active member of the Catholic church and a real Christian woman. The funeral was held from the Catholic church here on Wednesday morning at ___(can't read) o'clock, Father Luetticke, Bouchard and Fafare singing Solemn Requiem Mass. The remains were laid away besides those of her husband in the cemetery at Red Lake Falls. The five sons and their cousin, George Morrissette of Minneapolis, acting as pall bearers. The entire community extends their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved relatives in their sorrow but we all rest assured that she has gone to rest with her Savior in whom she had the utmost faith. Beneath the obit was this: Card of Thanks We wish to thank all the people for their kindness at the death of our mother, also for the beautiful flowers.
