Adsit, died very suddenly at her home here Thursday evening, June 21 death was caused by a hemorrhage of the longs, Miss Adsit having just gotten into the car preparatory to a drive. She was able to reach the House but death came before a physician could arrive. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon and interment was made in the local cemetery. Mabel Adsit was born in Green Lake County, Wisconsin, October 9, 1888. How she came to Redwood County when three years of age. She was graduated from the local high school in the class of 1909 and spent the next year at that Deaconess' School of Michigan's of Chicago. She then took a post graduate course in the normal training department of the Redwood High School and taught in the schools of the county until all obliged to give up the work because of poor health. Miss Adsit then stayed at home, employing herself with taking a correspondence course until she became a graduate of the Chautauqua School of Nursing. Her ambition and intelligence made it impossible for her to be idle although often very ill. The past winter, Miss Adsit, in company with her mother and brother, spent several weeks at Buena Vista, Florida, returning about three weeks ago. The mild climate was apparently of much benefit to her health and her death came as a great shock to her mother and the other members of her family. Mrs. Adsit is survived by her mother, five sisters and five brothers. ========================================================================= Copyright Gary Revier 2007.
