She was united in marriage to Fred Ahrens in 1880 and then to them were born twelve children, one son and one daughter passed away a number of years ago. The living children are , Wm, Ed., and Mrs. R. F. of Redwood Falls, Henry, Chas, Fred and George of Morton, Mrs. Henry Storch, Minneapolis and John and Mrs.Theo. DeKuck, Kimberly , Wis. Mrs. Ahrens passed this life Monday, July 20, 1925, cause the deaths of being diabetes, at the home of her daughter of Mrs.DeKuck at Kimberley, Wisconsin, surrounded by daughters Mrs. DeKuck, Mrs. Byram and sons Geo., John and Ed. Deceased was one of Renville county's oldest pioneers. The last 10 years of her life was spent in Redwood Falls in the east part of town. Her husband passed away eight years ago. She has three sisters Mrs. Lizzie Reincke, Morton; Mrs. Herman Neutke, Renville; Mrs. L. Ristow, Orange, Cal.; when and 1 brother Aug. Bratsch, Oshkosh, Wis., also 23 grandchildren. The funeral was held at 2 p.m. this afternoon at the Christian church conducted by Rev. Gabriel. The Legion Auxiliary of which deceased was a member attended in a body and sent flowers. The pallbearers were E. A. Pease, H. Hoffman, Geo. Eckhart, Walter Marsh, John Schmid and John Whitcomb. Burial was made in the local cemetery beside the body of her late husband. She was a good mother and kind neighbor and friends.
