FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Gary Revier Submitted: December 2007 ========================================================================= Little Douglas Allen Dies Tuesday Noon Eight Year Old Boy Passes After Operation For Appendicitis Tuesday noon at Redwood Falls Hospital, Douglas Allen, Jr., the eight year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. William Allen of Gilfillan, passed away after an operation for appendicitis last Saturday. The decisions, after performing the operation had little hope as the attack was severe and acute. The short service was held yesterday, Thursday, afternoon at the a undertaking parlors at 1:30 and at the Presbyterian Church at 2 o'clock, Rev. A. W. Ross of the local Presbyterian Church was in charge of the services. The remains were laid to rest of the local cemetery east of this city. The pallbearers were Fredrick Anthony, John Anthony, Walter Mertz, Harold Kettner, Horace Wetmore, and Wendel Steinhouse. The flower boys were Billie Flinn, Lloyd Melgez, Pat Garland and Keith McKay.
