Graveside services were held at Mountain View Cemetery in San Bernardino, California. Gilbert, the youngest child of Joseph F. and Rose Zitzmann, was born on August 8, 1924, in Lucan. He attended first through eighth grades in Lucan, District 108, and graduated from Milroy High School in 1942. Gilbert was a retired technical sergeant of the U.S. Air Force, serving in World War II and in Germany. He was also a member of American Legion Post 777 and Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Lucan. He had resided in San Bernardino for 19 years. ____________________ Compiler's note: Some of Joseph and Rose Zitzmann's children, including Gilbert, dropped the second "n" in their last name.
