L. Otos, Chr. C. A. Bakken, and J. F. Smith. 1885 - Notified by the State Auditor that the township name had been changed to Crooks because there was another township in the state with the name, Aurora. 1920 - Town Hall was erected. 1939 - Rural Electrification came into this area. 1949 - Dial telephone system.
