Death came as the result of a stroke of appoplexy, which came on Sunday morning about 11:00 o'clock. Early in the afternoon the aged woman passed into a state of unconsciousness and died the same evening, still resting in what was apparently a peaceful sleep. Deceased was born in Germany August 7, 1836. In 1865 or 1866 she came to America alone. For a time she remained in New York City, then came West, to Wisconsin, where she was married to August Fritz in 1868. Later Mr. and Mrs. Fritz removed to Minnesota, settling in New Ulm, and later in 1876, came to Renville county, where they remained until the final call. The husband died in 1909. The remaining children are Otto, of Gibbon, Albert, of Wabasso, and Adolph, who remaines on the old homestead. Frank Fritz and Mrs. Gheresa are step-children of Henrietta Fritz, the father having been married previously. One son, William, died last spring and a daughter died at about the age of one year. The funeral was held yesterday, Rev. Fritz conducting a service at the residence at 3 o'clock, and later at the Wellington church.
