From the Rock County Star Herald, Luverne Minn. FRITZ LAFRENZ TO BE BURIED HERE TOMMORROW Springwater Farmer dies in Pipestone Saturday A well known Springwater Township farmer, Fritz Lafrenz, Died at the Ashton Memorial hospital in Pipestone about 10 :30 p. m. Saturday , having reached the age of 59 years ,4 months and 19 days .Mr. Lafrenz had been in ill health for the past three years. Funeral services will be held from the family home in Springwater township at 1p.m. and from the Rock County Burial Association funeral home at 2 p.m. Friday and internment will be made in Maplewood cemetery. Rev. Reidenbach of Elkton, S.D., will officiate. Mr. Lafrenz was born on October 12, 1880 at Danschendorf, on the Island of Fehmarn, Germany. He moved with his parents to Puttgarden, of Fehmarn, at the age of two and continued to live there until coming to America. He was united in Marriage to Bertha Voss on August 10, 1903 at Bannesdorf, Fehmarn, coming to the United States and settling at Blue Grass, Iowa, On January 24, 1912. They lived there until Febuary 26, 1919, at which time they moved to Rock county where they have since continued to make thier home. Surviving Mr. Lafrenz are his widow and six children, Neko Lafrenz, Rose Dell Township, Hans Lafrenz, Springwater township, Mrs. George Ralfs, Luverne, Henry, Marie and Rudolf Lafrenz, all of whom reside at home in Springwater township. One son Renold, died in infancy. Surviving also are one brother, Nicholas and one sister, Mrs. Agnes Thode, of Fehmarn, Germany, A step-brother and step-sister, also in Germany and seven grandchildren.
