Found this obituary at the Museum in Pipestone Minn. From the Pipestone County Star Dated July 7, 1958 Page 2 , Col. 1, Par. 1 SERVICES MONDAY FOR MRS. MINNIE RALFS Rites were held this Monday afternoon, July 7, at 2 o'clock at the Methodist church in Pipestone for the late Mrs. Minnie Ralfs. Rev. Clifford Willstruck officiated, and appropriate musical selections were by Mrs. Myra Christian, organist, and Mrs. Howard Severson, Jr. vocalist. Those acting as bearers were Harold Ralfs, Loren Kamrath, Morris Oye, Gordon Kraft, Albert Burmeister, and Lyle Oye, and internment was in the Trosky cemetery at Trosky. Arrangements were under the direction of Walz & Geise Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Minnie Ralfs was born on May 16, 1876 in Germany, to Mr. and Mrs. Peter Martens. She came to the United States at the age of twelve and settled with her parents at Paullina, Ia. She was united in marriage to William Ralfs in 1897 at Paullina. In 1903 they moved to a farm in Elmer Twp., Pipestone county, Minn. In 1933 she moved into Trosky, where she lived for five years, and the she made her home with her children until she moved to Pipestone in 1951. Mrs. Ralfs was a long time member of the Methodist church. Mrs. Ralfs passed away July 3, 1958 at the Ashton hospital in Pipestone, reaching the age of 82 years, one month and 17 days. Mrs. Ralfs is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Hilda Kamrath of Sherburn, Mrs. Albert (Minnie) Burmeister of Atwater, Mrs. J. E. Kickland (Grace) and Mrs. Ernest Oye (Laura) of Pipestone, Mrs. Stella Barck of San Francisco, Calf.; 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1932, two daughters and one son. [William & Minnie Ralfs are both buried in the Trosky rural Cemetery located east of the town of Trosky Minnesota.]
