Both the Wilson's and Telfer's were early pioneer settlers in Jefferson County Wisconsin. (The Stetson line goes back to the Rice's, Allen's, Alden's and the Whites in early New England history. Albert Wilson Wilson.-At his home in Clear Lake, Minn., Feb 3d, 1904, Albert Wilson aged 50 years. The deceased was formerly a resident of Oakland, Wis. He was twice married; his first wife was Miss Matilda Telfer, daughter of Wm. Telfer. Her death occurred about four years ago. His death was caused from paralysis and a broken hip, from which he suffered several months. He is survived by a wife and several children, six brothers and sisters. Mrs. Wm. Short of this city being a sister. From the Jefferson County Union, Feb. 12, 1904, Jefferson County, Wisconsin. Matilda was the daughter of William Telfer and Pluma Adeila Stetson Telfer. Margaret Matilda Telfer Wilson Obituary. The following notice comes to the Union from Iowa, and refers to one formerly well known in northwest Oakland: "Died of pneumonia at her home in the town of Saratoga Iowa, April 14th, `1900, Mrs. Albert Wilson, aged 46 years, 3 mos. 12 days. Margaret Matilda Telfer was born in Oakland, Jefferson Co., Wisconsin, Jan 2nd, 1854, and was married to Albert Wilson, July 16th, 1872. They lived in Oakland for two years, then removing to Worth Co., Iowa, where they lived nine years, and again returned to Jefferson Co. and spent the next eight years. Again they went west to Osage, Iowa, and four years ago moved to the town of Saratoga where death came to her. mrs. Wilson leaves to mourn her loss, a husband, five daughters, four sons and a father , mother, a sister and two brothers in Wisconsin, besides a large circle of friends. A tender, loving wife and mother, a kind, generous friend and neighbor has gone to her reward. The funeral was at the home, April 16th, Rev. J. Russell of Le Roy, Minn., officiating.
