He was born in Ireland on June 24, 1824 and was 85 years, 8 months and 3 days old at the time of his death. He immigrated to this country settling in Green Isle township when it was practically a wilderness, and braved the hardships of pioneer life. He was married fifty-four years ago and was the parent of seven children of whom six are living who cared for him tenderly during his declining years. He was a kind husband and father and was held in high esteem among all who knew him. He leaves to mourn his demise an aged widow and six children who are grief-stricken over his departure into eternity. The funeral was held from the family home and the Green Isle Catholic church Wednesday morning and the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery of that parish, Rev. Fr. Doyle officiating. The bereaved relatives of the deceased have the sympathy of their friends in their bereavement. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
