FileFormatted by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Dwight Grabitske ========================================================================= - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Arlington Enterprise Thursday 5 January 1911 OBITUARY KATHERINE BRADLEY, relic of the late John Bradley, passed away at the farm home of her son Matt east of town, Jan. 2, of old age, having attained the ripe age of 89 years. Deceased was born in Ireland, where she was married , and came to this country with her husband in the year 1856, settling at Davenport, Iowa. They remained there for a few years and then came to Henderson and took as a homestead the farm on which she lived until her death. Five children were born to them, four of whom are living, viz: Tim and Bridget, who are living in the state of Washington, and Mike and Matt, who are still at the old home. Her husband died in September, 1909. The funeral took place yesterday morning from the house to the Catholic church in Jessenland, where the funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Fr. Joyce and the remains were interred in the cemetery adjoining. Mrs. Bradley was a kind and dutiful wife and mother, a good friend and neighbor and a devout Christian, and her many years of life were usefully employed. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
