THEO BRAUN The funeral of Mrs. Theodore Braun who passed away Wednesday, March 11, 1908, occurred last Saturday, Rev. R. H. Schmidt officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the Lutheran cemetery. The pall bearers were: Herman Miller, Fred Henschke, August Dobberstein, Albert Rettmann, John Waller and Wm. Behrman. A large concourse of people followed the cortege to the grave, and the floral offerings were many and beautiful. The deceased whose maiden name was Miss Louise Soeffker was born in Arlington township, Sibley county, March 5, 1876 and was 32 years, 6 days old at the time of her death. She is survived by a grief-stricken husband, three small children, namely, Lizzie, aged 8, Fred 6, and Esther 5 years; six sisters, Mrs. J. C. Nagel, of this place, Mrs. Nye, of Henderson, Mrs. Hedtke, Mrs. Gehardt, of Arlington, Mrs. Guetschoff, of Wood Lake; and three brothers, Fred, of Grafton, Chas. and Louis Soeffker of Arlington, and a large circle of friends who sincerely mourn her early demise. Mrs. Braun was loved and esteemed by all with whom she came in contact, and her daily steps led along the beautiful Christian path of love and purity. But in the prime of life whe was plucked from this world by the hand of death only to be transplanted into a nobler and grander land. - Buffalo Lake News
