Brown, died at her home in this place on Saturday last at 4:20 A.M. The direct cause of her death was complicated pneumonia. Mrs. Brown was taken sick on Sunday, Nov. 24th with a severe cold, which showed no indication of a serious nature until shortly before her death. The very best medical aid was summoned, but found to be of no avail. The funeral services were held in the Geman M. E. church at this place Saturday, Rev. Ruddock officiating. The beautiful floral oferings from her friends were place upon the casket. After the services the remains were taken directly to the depot, followed by a large body of relatives and friends. The body was taken to Villard, Minn., for burial, and was accompanied by Mr. Brown and his brother-in- law, Geo. M. Lee. Mrs. Lee, mother of the deceased, was unable to accompany them on account of sickness. Deceased was born at Wheatland, Wis., Nov. 17th, 1860. Her maiden name being Justa L. Lee. She was married to H. D. Brown about twelve years ago and for six years resided in Green Isle, where she was highly esteemed by all who knew her. For the past six years Mrs. Brown has been a resident of Arlington, where she had made a host of friends, as was shown by the large number who assemled to pay her the last tribute of respect. Deceased leaves a husband and three small children to mourn her loss. The oldest of the children, Maud, is ten and the youngest about three years of age.
