FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Dwight Grabitske Submitted: ========================================================================= Arlington Enterprise Thursday 20 June 1912 Green Isle From the Record: Again we are called upon to chronicle the death of another old pioneer of Green Isle township, John Connors, Sr., who passed away at his home at two o’clock P.M., Monday, after an illness of four weeks with paralysis. Aged 77 years. Mr. Connors was a native of Ireland, born in County Carry, and came to America in the early days. He first settled in Superior, Wis., when he married and then came to Sibley county and settled on the Mack farm. Later he bought the present homestead. Deceased leaves to mourn his untimely demise, a wife and five sons, John, Patrick, Michael, Dennis and Con. The funeral was held Wednesday morning at St. Brendan’s church and was attended by a large concourse of friends to pay their last tribute of respect. Solemn high mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Doyle, Fev. Fr. Rant of Arlington and Fev. Fr. Bryne of Glencoe. The remains were laid to rest in the family lot in St. Brendan’s cemetery. The pall bearers were: Jas. Mulligan, J. W. Kelly, Jos.
