Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Jane Donaho Sibley County Independent (Henderson) Friday, 23 Feb. 1894 Death of August Delger DIED -- August Delger, a prominent farmer of Kelso township, died at his home Friday, February 19, 1894 of blood poisoning, which set in from an old wound in one of his arms, aged about 55 years. Mr. Delger was an old settler and was liked by all who knew him. He was chosen president of the Kelso Farmers Mutual fire insurance company when it was first organized and took an active part in all the organization's affairs during the past six years. He leaves, besides a sorrowing wife, three sons and one daughter to mourn his untimely death. The funeral was held from the German Lutheran church in that township Sunday, Rev. Ziegler of Gaylord, conducted the services and his remains were followed to the cemetery by a large concourse of relatives and friends.
