Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Dwight Grabitske ========================================================================= Arlington Enterprise Thursday 9 April 1908 GONE TO ETERNITY Mrs. Dietzel of Dryden Township and Dr. Langford of Green Isle join Silent Ranks - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Mrs. Erlin Dietzel, of whose death mention was made in last week’s Enterprise, died at the St. Peter hospital on Monday March 30. She had been ailing for about twenty years with stomach trouble, but the final cause of her death was from Pulmonary Edema. Mrs. Dietzel, wife of Louis Dietzel of Dryden township, was born in Carver county on Nov. 16, 1858, and therefore she was 49 years, 4 months, and 14 days old. She was the daughter of the late Gottwald Bachmann. On the 11th day of January in 1883 she was united in marriage to Louis Dietzel, and one year later they moved to Sibley county settling on a farm in Arlington township when they moved to this village and after residing here for thirteen years they removed to their farm in Dryden township where they are residing at present. During the period of their married life four children were born to their union, one son and three daughters. They are: Anton, Mrs. C. Reichenbach, Ernestine and Ella. The funeral was held Friday afternoon and a large concourse of friends attended to pay her their last tribute. The earthly remains were laid to rest in the West Arlington cemetery, and Rev. Robt. Heidmann conducting the last sad rites. Besides her husband and children, she leaves to mourn her demise three brothers and two sisters, viz: Fred Bachmann, Mrs. Mina Schwirtz, Mrs. Karoline Bovy, Arlington; Herman Bachmann, Norwood; Chas. Bachmann, Hinkley.
