Dietz Sr., and Albert Blasing have Succumbed to the Inevitable. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Mrs. Aug. Dietz Sr. Another pioneer has been called home. Mrs. Aug. Dietz Sr., sleeps the sleep that knows no awakening. She was summoned by the Grim Reaper last Saturday morning at one o’clock and passed peacefully to her final rest. Her death was due to old age, as she was nearly ninety years old. A few days prior to her death it became noticeable that she would soon answer the call of her maker, her health faled gradually and the ending of her life was peaceful. Mrs. Dietz Sr., was born in Angern, province of Saxony, Germany on the 17th, day of February, 1812, and had she lived until that date next month she would have attained the age of ninety years. She was united in marriage to her surviving husband, (who is about the same age, born on the seventh of the same month,) on the 12th of February, 1846. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon and many of her old acquaintences attended the last sad rites to pay their respects to the departed. Rev. Schreiner conducted the service. - [Gaylord] Hub
