Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Dwight Grabitske ========================================================================= Arlington Enterprise Thursday 22 January 1920 Valentine Geib Valentine Geib, a former resident of Kelso, Sibley county, passed on Tuesday morning, at his home in this city, after a somewhat prolonged illness from dropsy and other complications. Mr. Geib was born in Ohio and was 68 years, 7 months and 19 days of age. He came to Sibley Co. when a young man and is the last of a number of brothers who was prominent in the affairs of the county. Some years ago he moved to Ottawa township, in this county, and continued farming until about four and one-half years ago when he bought a home in this city, where he since resided. His wife and three sons survive him. Mr. Geib was a quiet citizen, much of a home man and givien to attending strictly to his own affairs. He was industrious and made a success of life. The funeral will be held today at 1 p.m. from the Zion’s Lutheran church, Rev. Arends officiating. --- Le Sueur News.
