DIED
     Chas. Goeritz died Monday forenoon of strangulation
of the hernia, aged 58 years and one month.  He was taken 
sick Saturday and an operation was to have been performed 
Monday noon but he died before the time set.  Mr. Goeritz 
was born in Westpreussen, Germany in 1836 and came to 
this country in 1876 and settled in Minnesota.  He leaves 
a wife and five grown up children.  The funeral was held 
yesterday, Rev. Koch officiating.
