  The late Patrick Kane was born in West Movine, County Clare, Ireland,
March 9, 1820.  He came to Ontario, Canada, in 1848, and from there
emigrated to Sibley county in 1856, settling on a farm in Green Isle
township, where he lived until about ten years ago, when he moved to St.
Paul to reside.  He is survived by eight children, as follows: James Kane,
Judge of Probate at Breckenridge, Minn.; Chas. T. Kane, and attorney and
mayor of Benson, Minn.; Wm. Kane, attorney at International Falls; Thos. R.
Kane, attorney and member of the Assembly, St. Paul; Henry and George Kane,
St. Paul; Mrs. Francis Dolan and Miss Minnie Kane, also of St. Paul.
