He came to Ontario, Canada, in 1848, and from there emigrated to Sibley county in 1856, settling on a farm in Green Isle township, where he lived until about ten years ago, when he moved to St. Paul to reside. He is survived by eight children, as follows: James Kane, Judge of Probate at Breckenridge, Minn.; Chas. T. Kane, and attorney and mayor of Benson, Minn.; Wm. Kane, attorney at International Falls; Thos. R. Kane, attorney and member of the Assembly, St. Paul; Henry and George Kane, St. Paul; Mrs. Francis Dolan and Miss Minnie Kane, also of St. Paul. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
