Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Dwight Grabitske Arlington Enterprise Thursday 7 March 1907 Mrs. Geo. Kruger of Gaylord is no More. PASSED TO ETERNITY The death of Mrs. Geo. Kruger of this place, which occurred Sunday, Feb. 24th, at one o’clock, was a severe blow to her husband and surviving children. She was taken ill with lung fever a month previous to her death, and was very low, her death being expected at any moment. For several days last week, she showed signs of gaining strength, but it was not to be that she should linger on this earth, and the end came as a great relief to her suffering. She leaves a husband and four children, all living in this village. The children are Louis, John, Mrs. Louis Fenske and Miss Lizzie. One son, Robert, preceded her to the grave about four years ago. Mrs. Kruger was born in Glass, Province of Pommern, Germany, Oct. 26, 1844, and came to America in 1867, making her home in Milwaukee, where she was united in marriage to George Kruger the following year. In June of the year 1874, they came to Sibley county, ten years later moving to this place which has since been their home. She was a woman who was kind and loving to her husband and children and won the respect of all who knew her by her friendly and cheerful disposition. The funeral was held from the home at three o’clock Wednesday afternoon. Services were also held at the Evangelical Lutheran church, of which she was a faithful member Rev. Hertwig conducting the last sad rites. Interment of the remains was made in the cemetery north of town. The services were largely attended by friends who were wont to pay their last respects to the departed. The sorrowing husband and children have the sympathy of their friends in the loss of their wife and mother. --- Gaylord Hub - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
