R. KUSSKE Has Sudden Attack of Internal Cramps and Passed Away After Only Ten Minutes Suffering Again we are called upon to chronicle the death of a highly respected inhabitant of this place, Ida Martha beloved wife of Robt. Kuske passed away at her home last Thursday afternoon between the hours one and two o’clock. She became seriously ill only ten minutes before her death when she became afflicted with internal cramps which caused her sudden death. Her relatives and friends were surprised and pained when they heard the sad news, and it is a fearful shock to her husband who had not in the least expected it as she appeared to be in fairly good health. The deceased, whose maiden name was Ida Martha Scharmer, was born July 24th 1868 in Preuss-Frieland, Regierings Bezirk, Marienwerde, West Preussen, Germany, and about five years later she came with her parents to this country and has lived her ever since. She was deaf and dumb and her surviving husband is also afflicted in like manner, but they had lived at home happy and contented and it is indeed a sad blow to the husband to be thus berift of his life companion, who had always proven herself a worthy and loving wife and fond mother. Two children were born to them, one girl and boy, the latter only eleven days old. Besides those mentioned above she leaves to mourn her loss, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Scharmer of Green Isle township, her grand parents Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Rathke of this place, and also three sisters and two brothers. The funeral services were held Sunday at 1 o’clock p.m. at the home, Rev. Rabe conducting the services. The body was conveyed to the German M. E. church where the sorrowing relatives and friends gathered to review the last remains, after which the funeral procession proceeded to the German M. E. cemetery in Green Isle township where the interment took place. We join the many friends of the deceased in extending our heartfelt sympathy to the grief stricken husband and relatives. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
