J. J. LANGFORD Dr. J. J. Langford, who has been a sufferer from tuberculosis for the last two years died at his home in Green Isle on Friday April 3rd. Dr. Langford was born near Toronto, Canada in 1872 and was 36 years of age at the time of his death. He came to Green Isle about twelve years ago where he located and practised [sic.] his profession for about ten years. He was married to Miss May Kelly in 1906, shortly after which he became afflicted with the disease that brought about his final end. Last summer he and his wife took a trip to Europe, visiting Italy, Austria and England returning in the fall with his health in critical condition and he immediately left for Pine City to take treatment at the sanitorium. The last two months he awaited his end at his home in Green Isle. The funeral was held Monday from St. Brendon’s Catholic Church at Green Isle, Rev. Fr. Hand officiating. The remains were shipped to Minneapolis and were interred in the Lake Wood Cemetery. The friends of the bereaved widow and relatives in ths community condole with them in their irreparable loss.
