This week we are called upon to chronicle the demise of a well known resident of Henderson township, Fred Lindorff, who passed away at his home, about a mile from this city, Tuesday, September 1, at twelve o’clock, after a long illness of heart failure. Fred William Lindorff was a native of Germany, and immigrated to this country in 1881, coming direct to this city and locating on a farm in Henderson township. He resided for a time in Jessenland, and six years ago bought the place where he passed away. He was a kind and honest man, and was held in high esteem by all who knew him. He is survived by four children, two daughters and two sons. His wife departed this life about three years ago. The funeral was held from the family home yesterday afternoon, Rev. eyrich conducting the services and the remains were laid to rest in Brown’s cemetery. - Henderson Independent.
