Mangan The announcement of the death of Mrs. Thos. Mangan of Green Isle was received by Arlington friends with an intense feeling of sorrow and sympathy for her bereaved husband and relatives. She passed away at her home Sunday afternoon shortly after giving birth to a son, the effects of which together with a siege of bronchial pneumonia which she unfortunately contracted before confinement, resulted fatally. Sara Mangan was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Dreever of this place and grew to young womanhood in this city. She was about 32 years of age and was born at Elysian, Minn. She came to Arlington with her parents about 20 years ago and attended the local public schools. After completing her education she taught school for several years. She was united in marriage to Thos. Mangan on June 4th, 1917, together with whom she spent the last few brief but happy years at their home at Green Isle. She was a faithful and loving wife and had a host of friends and acquaintances, both here and at Green Isle, who admired her for her pleasing disposition and many good qualities. Besides her husband and parents, she is mourned by four sisters and one brother, viz.: Mayme of Arlington, Mrs. P. E. Donlin of Green Isle, Rose of Washington, D.C., Mrs. D. La Velle of St. Paul, Joseph of Minneapolis. The funeral was held Tuesday morning with services at St. Brendan’s Catholic church at Green Isle. Interment was in the cemetery of that parish.
