Well Known People Join Silent Ranks. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - DAVID MC MAHON The remains of David McMahon arrived here for burial last Thursday. Mr. McMahon died Saturday, Dec. 28th, 1907, at the Franklin Hotel in Masoula, Mont., from sudden convultions of the heart. He lived at Anaconda, Mont., with his family and had gone to the above mentioned place on a few days business where death overtook him. An inquest was held at the Franklin Hotel after which his body was sent to Anaconda and prepared to be shipped to this place for burial. Mr. McMahon was born and raised in this neighborhood, but left for the west about 25 years ago in which time he has only visited her once, about 17 years ago. He was about 42 years old at the time of his death, and has been employed at the smelting mills at Anaconda for the past three years. He leaves to mourn his untimely demise a wife and three children, also six brothers and one sister, viz: T. J., and Steve of St. Paul; S. J. of Henderson, John, of Seattle, Wash., M. J. and Frank of this place, and Mrs. Minihan of Fort Ribley, Minn., and an aged mother. The funeral services were held last Friday morning at 10 o’clock at St. Brendon’s church Fr. Ryan officiating, which was attended by a large number of friends, and the remains were interred in the cemetery adjoining the church. The many friends of the bereaved wife and children extended heartfelt sympathy in their irreparable loss. - Green Isle Record.
