Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Dwight Grabitske --------------------------------------------------------------------- Arlington Enterprise Thursday 11 February 1909 TWO DEATHS Mrs. Gottlieb Mielke and Jonas Doerr, Jr., Answer Summons of their Master Mrs. Gottlieb Mielke Mrs. Anna Mielke, died at her home at this place Thursday, Feb. 4, 1909, after an illness of three weeks duration, at the age of about 67 years. Mrs. Mielke was born in Pommer, [sic.] Germany, on Feb. 10, 1842 and immigrated to this country during the early part of her life, and has been a resident of Arlington for over a quarter of a centruy and she braved many hard times with her husband during the pioneer years. She was united in marriage to Gottlieb Mielke at the age of twenty-four years and to their union were born two children, one dead and one living. The funeral was held from the home Sunday and the remains were interred in the Lutheran Cemetery west of town. Rev. Heidmann conducted the services. She leaves to mourn her demise an aged husband and one daughter, Mrs. Chas. Kleist. We sympathize with the bereaved relatives and friends in their hour of sorrow.
