Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Dwight Grabitske ========================================================================= Arlington Enterprise Thursday 8 January 1920 Ed Milbrandt Dies Suddenly Edward Milbrandt, highly respected and prominent farmer of Green Isle township, passed away very suddenly at his home last Friday morning at 9:30 o’clock, as a result of an attack of apoplexy. His sudden death was a heavy blow to his family and relatives and a shock to his host of friends, as he was at all times in apparent good health. He was found in bed by his little son on the morning of his death, in a sitting posture. His wife was called and arrived just as he was brething his last. Mr. Milbrandt was born in Wisconsin and came to Sibley County with his parents at the age of 4. They resided on a farm south of Arlington for several years and then moved to Green Isle township. Deceased was 57 years, 4 months and 4 days old, having resided on the old homestead for 47 years. He was married to Mrs. Michaelis (nee Emma Lange), and seven children were born to them, 5 girls and 2 boys, who together with his wife are left to mourn. He is also survived by four sisters and 6 brothers. The funeral was held Monday afternoon with services at the Helen Town Lutheran church. Rev. Dysterheft officiated.
