Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Dwight Grabitske ddgrab@frontiernet.net Arlington Enterprise Thursday 27 April 1899 DEATH OF FRED MUELLER, SR One of the oldest settlers of Sibley County died at the home of his son Fred, of Arlington township Saturday, April 22, 1899. He was born Jan. 1st. 1816, in Kreissanrt, Holzminden, Herzozthum, Brauschweg, Germany and was therefore at the time of his death 83 years 3 months and 22 days of age. He emigrated to this country in 1864 and settled in Sibley county where he has since resided. In 1893 he and his wife celebrated their Golden Wedding, one year later his wife died. He leaves one son and one daughter, Fred Mueller and Mrs. Aug. Muehlstedt both of Arlington township and 18 grand children and 5 great grand children. He was a kind father and good neighbor and highly respected by all. The funeral took place Monday afternoon and the remains were laid to rest in the Evangelical Lutheran cemetery near Lieske's Rev. E. Robert officiating.
