NARR DEAD Succumbed to Cancer of the Stomach after a lingering illness. Mrs. Christina Narr, wife of the late John Narr, died at her home in town on Friday morning Dec. 27th. She had been ailing for some time with cancer of the stomach and Thursday evening she took a sudden relapse and all medical aid and the skill of the physicians proved of no avail, and the inevitable summoned her in the early hours of the following morning. She was born in Ostau, Prussia on Oct. 5th, 1839 and was 68 years, 2 months and 22 days old at the time of her death. She came to this country when but a girl and was married to John Narr in this county on Jan. 21, 1860, and their union was blessed with nine children all living but one daughter, Mrs. Math. Klinkert, who preceded her to the grave in the fall of the year 1897. The living ones are Edward of Wood Lake; John of Jessenland; Mrs. Emma Kottke of Waterville; Albert of St. Paul; Herman of Wood Lake; Christian of Arlington; Aug. of Morton; Miss Margareth of Arlington, and Karl of St. Paul. Her husband preceded her to the grave about a year ago. She was a kind neighbor and a loving mother and her departure is a great loss to the surviving children. The funeral was held from the family home on Sunday, Dec. 29, and interment was made in the Lutheran cemetery, Rev. Robt Heidmann officiating at the last sad rites. The Enterprise joins with the sorrowing relatives, in mourning over the loss of one of their dear ones.
